If you are interested in my research, find the ERE option or GPES area you like to pursue.
1) if you have an engineering degree, browse the following three Options of our graduate program in Environmental Resources Engineering (ERE):
  • PhD, MS, and MPS in Ecological Engineering;
  • PhD, MS, and MPS in the generic Environmental Resources Engineering;
  • MPS in Environmental Management
2) If you have a BS in science, browse the following two Study Areas under Graduate Program in Environmental Science (GPES):
  • PhD, MS, and MPS in Climate and Energy;
  • PhD, MS, and MPS in Ecosystems: Land, Water, and Air.

You may apply to ERE if you have a science BS degree that covers courses of engineering basics or work/research experience in engineering teams/projects. Please note we rarely accept the applicants without a thesis-based MS into our PhD programs. After one or two semesters of graduate study at ESF, it is possible to switch from MS to PhD, pending on your academic performance (potential to do original research).

Desirable research topics are described in the "Prospective student" sections on my Research webpage. But do not worry too much about my project openings, especially if you do not need funding (GA or RA). Thesis research topic and scope will be finalized in your first or second semester at ESF.

You can find the admission information and application instructions at
http://www.esf.edu/graduate/admission.htm. International applicants can find the requirements for proficiency in the English language, estimated expenses, and other information at https://www.esf.edu/international/admissions.htm. We rarely offer GRE waivers to applicants we do not know.
